Michael has no flat fee or set rate for his keynotes, lectures, workshops or seminars. There are so many variables of duration, audience size, distances, travel costs, prep time, and private coaching and sales opportunities that Michael prefers to negotiate each appearance separately. He also does everything he can to accommodate the needs and budget of each sponsor.
On occasion, Michael will agree to a lower fee in return for a share of the gate. This would be negotiated just as a flat fee would.
Admission costs for any of Michael’s appearances are left entirely up to the conference sponsors or corporations.
The keynotes listed are designed to give a good idea of the breadth and depth of information and feedback Michael can provide. These can always be modified or combined for length, or to meet the individual needs of the sponsor and participants.
Yes. Unless he is returning to a group or event, he always recommends beginning with an individualized version of his all day Story Mastery Workshop. This provides the essential elements of his approach to story, and lays the foundation for all of the other presentations. The remaining keynotes and workshops should then be thought of as modules that can be combined or modified to provide the best experience for participants in the time allotted. For example, Michael has often conducted 3-day events where Day 1 is the Story Mastery Workshop, Day 2 is a combination of keynotes (such as Anatomy of a Screenplay and Bulletproof Pitching), and Day 3 is the Story Mastery Intensive.
Yes, he does.
Michael’s lectures and workshops are designed for everyone from beginning writers or speakers to highly paid professionals. Because he is presenting his own unique approach to story, it has repeatedly proven transformative to storytellers at every level of experience and success. Of course, if a sponsor wants to limit enrollment in one of the workshops to a particular group (e.g. working professional writers or speakers), then Michael will happily design the experience for their particular needs and desires.
